How to Improve America
Inaugural Speech
By Lyla

My fellow citizens,

Today we gather as a nation of young people. I am honored to stand before you as your president. I thank President Obama for leading this country fearlessly for the past eight years. One of the main goals I aim for is to improve this already great nation. Many new laws will be passed and some dismissed. New connections will be forged in the fire of freedom.

Many of the goals I wish to achieve have never been done or deemed impossible, but together, America will rise to the occasion. One of the many is to reach out to the far corners of the world and help foreign countries with Health Care and Schooling. From the far reaches of China, to our very homeland. Another goal is tot prevent hunger in countries like Africa and Asia. I also think that stopping racism will benefit our country.
As President Obama said we as Americans are strong because of our patchwork heritage.

Peace is also one of my main goals. To have the world in harmony for even one second is a great achievement. But to be at peace, we need to know that what we love is safe. That’s why I will demand that health care prices be lowered. Schooling standards must be raised. To assure that future generation will be ready to face the challenges of this drastically world. We must prevent global warming and our environment for future generations.

This means using alternative fuels, such as wind, water, and the sun. I’m surprised the solar panels haven’t been used until recently, since they were invented in the 1920’s. But we must harness some of nature, this is how it must be if we are to release our death grip on the Middle East. Which has affected our economy and the world. Now over 10% of Americans don’t have jobs, and that results in them losing their houses. We as Americans must some how reduce the damage we have afflicted upon ourselves. Many of the luxuries will be put aside, as we work side by side to undo this damage.

This is my vision of a new America. A place that is a safehaven for the world and her people. But we must work together to create this vision. The road may be long and hard but we are ensuring a safe place for our children and the children of the world.

Together we will recreate America.
